Dr. Danielle Gilas, DC
I was first introduced to Chiropractic at the age of 16 when I ran and intensively trained for hurdles.
Chiropractic not only rid myself of muscle and back pain, but it also gave me the edge to train competitively.
It increased my range of motion, balanced my muscles and relieved stress on my nervous system so that my body
was able to do what all bodies should be able to do best, heal itself.
People who experience Chiropractic report a better sense of health, improved sleeping habits and less pain.
I take pride in being a primary resource for my patients, answering their health and Chiropractic questions
and being a motivational voice to keep them on track towards their health goals. I truly enjoy Chiropractic’s
natural and hands-on approach to healing and I take pleasure in observing the benefits that people experience.
I was led to Chiropractic because of my interest in biology and my fascination with the structure of the
human body and how it relates to function and well being. My education and interest in sport prepared me
well for my work as a chiropractor. A track and field scholarship took me to the University of Kentucky
where I obtained my B.Sc. in Biology. I returned to Canada and graduated from the Canadian Memorial
Chiropractic College. I also traveled to Sri Lanka to study acupuncture at the prestigious Open
International University.
I use a variety of techniques which may include manual therapy, Activator Methods (a low force
adjusting technique), acupuncture, soft tissue therapy such as Graston Technique, exercise strategies
and custom foot orthotics to achieve the best possible results.
As a primary health care provider, my focus is on prevention and wellness. I believe that when the
body is healthy and sound, you are capable of reaching for your dreams.
