Diana Griffin RMT
Diana is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan Massage School and has been
practicing massage therapy for over 15 years. Much of that time has
also involved teaching massage students at Sutherland-Chan. Diana was
also a part of a committee who worked on developing the Code of Ethics
for the school.
In terms of her work with clients, Diana is strong and does excellent
deep tissue massage and facial restructuring; she also provides
relaxation massage, understanding the powers of gentleness. One of Diana's
unique styles is the inclusion of other skills with massage;
Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation are combined with the
soft tissue work, allowing her to treat a wide variety of conditions and
to modulate treatments according to the needs of each client. This
brings a wider scope of both assessment tools and effective outcome to
such conditions as fibromyalgia, pregnancy-related conditions, head
traumas and learning disabilities in children, as well as issues
stemming from emotional and physical abuse.
As well as being a part of the 360 clinic, Diana has a private practice
in her home clinic. Here she employs the therapeutic gifts of her
animals. The 20 pound cat prefers to do direct work with clients,
lying on top of areas of restrictions or blocks - only of course where
appropriate and requested, while the others do energy work from a distance.
The other quality that Diana brings to her work is her meditation
practice. She has been involved in group and personal meditation for
years and uses this practice to enhance and complement her own self care
and increase her "listening" abilities. Diana guides the meditation
offered at 360 on Wednesday evenings.
With her clients, Diana uses patience and the wisdom of her own self
care. We are very happy to have Diana Griffin as part of our healing
circle at 360.
