I have worked in the health care field for over 30 years. You could call me a ‘life-long’ learner because I continue to go to school regularly. My degrees were obtained from the University of Toronto and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/UT. I opened my practice with the walls of 360 Health Care in 2007, and am excited to working in my chosen field while I continue to learn from my colleagues, clients and their families, and my courses. I am a counselor/psychotherapist with the Canadian Counselling Association which aids me to remain current in best practices of psychotherapy.

I am pleased to be part of a group of practitioners who embrace holistic concepts of health for us all. My style of psychotherapy is one of empowerment. It is one in which a client may develop a sense of insight or ‘mindfulness’ of their own identity and goals. This is done through the therapeutic processes within therapy sessions. I use a multicultural model of therapy in which each client’s history is respected within sessions. My therapeutic experiences include working with client histories and issues such as: self-harm, trauma, clinical depression, stress management, substance abuse, sexual orientation and identity, interpersonal relationships, separation/divorce, grief and loss, anxiety, youth bullying/harassment, conflict management and anger.

I am comfortable working with all ages, sexual orientation, and diverse cultures. I enjoy working with my clients and their designated ‘Family’ members. I have had various experiences working with groups. I have a particular interest in bringing groups to 360, such as: healthcare workers and stress, youth and sexual orientation, women and anger, women and stress issues, anxiety, grief and loss, chronic illness and mental health, and older women’s group. I would be happy to discuss the potential for including further groups of interest. Please call to speak with me regarding your interests.
